Professor Whys Powerful Adventure^TM

Professor Whys Powerful Adventure, sponsored by Florida Power & Light Company, is a new educational assembly-style program available for school-aged children – grades four through nine – at public schools in FPL’s service area. A 30- to 45-minute presentation, the show is packed with unique experiments, audience quizzes and fun, designed to teach kids the powerful wonders of science that are related to electricity.

The program is a highly entertaining, unique approach to science, and helps teachers meet Sunshine State Standards in a memorable way that is outside the traditional classroom approach. Featuring Mik Jacobs as Professor Whys, an expert scientist whose mission is to take the children in FPL’s service territory on a powerful adventure, the show probes into the whys of electrical science. Each school is limited to one Professor Whys Powerful Adventure show per year, so we recommend audiences of 200 or more children.
