| Hardening the Electric Network |

| Encouraging Underground |
| Today, more than 37 percent of FPL’s power delivery system is underground. The company, pending Public Service Commission approval, is committed to taking steps to encourage underground facilities. |
| Pole Inspections |
| The company has enhanced its comprehensive pole inspection so that FPL’s more than 1 million wood poles are inspected on an eight-year cycle. |
| Line Clearing/Vegetation Management |
| FPL has adopted an aggressive plan for its line-clearing activities and continues to promote its Right Tree, Right Place program to strongly emphasize the importance of selecting the right kind of trees to plant and where to plant them. |
| Post-hurricane Repairs |
| FPL has completed its post-hurricane follow-up work to repair or replace distribution, transmission and substation facilities that were damaged in the prior storm seasons. |
