High school students gain hands-on experience with drone technology.

Drones in Schools

Bring the excitement of drone flying to the classroom with hands-on experiences using small-scale drone technology to prepare students for the high-tech jobs of tomorrow. As part of our Power to Educate, this program is free and open to all schools in our service territory – including public, private, charter and home-school options, for the first one to two years of involvement.

“This has been one of the most engaging programs I have seen for students.”

-- James Nance, a Stiles-Nicholson STEM Teacher Academy fellow at FAU

“It’s important to let kids know that there are other aspects of STEM that they might not be aware of, and this program provides amazing exposure for them to learn about drones.”

-- Mariota Theodoris, STEM project manager with FPL
