About the Project
The FPL Bluefield Preserve Solar Energy Center is a solar project proposed in St. Lucie County, Florida. A win-win for the environment and the local economy, the solar energy center will harvest the sun’s rays to generate quiet, clean and environmentally-friendly electricity, as well as create hundreds of construction jobs and hundreds of thousands of dollars in local tax revenue each year.

- Protecting against urban sprawl: Unlike commercial developments, a solar energy center can easily transition back to agricultural use at the end of its lifecycle.
