Meet Amy Goodwin

Amy Goodwin has worked for Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) and its sister company NextEra Energy Resources (NEER) for over 13 years. Amy is currently responsible for developing solar energy projects throughout Florida. In previous roles with the company, she built business cases and identified opportunities for discretionary capital investing for the NextEra Energy Resources’ wind fleet and as a project manager for Nuclear training. 

A Chicago native, Amy moved to Florida in 2004 and now resides in Palm Beach Gardens. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. In her spare time she enjoys playing golf and reading.

Meet Baldwyn English

Baldwyn is an External Affairs Manager with Florida Power & Light Company in Miami-Dade County. In this role, he is responsible for establishing and maintaining constructive relationships with local government, businesses, and civic leaders.

Baldwyn became familiar with the utility sector as the Chief Advisor to Commissioner Ronald Brisé at the Florida Public Service Commission. At the Commission, he was tasked with utilizing his business and legal background for the benefit of Florida utility ratepayers. Prior to entering the public sector, Baldwyn worked as an attorney at a leading law firm in Houston, Texas. His practice focused on complex business litigation, toxic tort litigation and related oil and gas matters.

Baldwyn earned his law degree from Texas Southern University where he graduated cum laude and was a member of law review, Chief Justice of the Board of Advocates and Chief Justice of the Honor Court. His undergraduate business degree was earned at Florida International University.

When not at work, Baldwyn continues in his leadership responsibilities as a mentor to local youth organizing activities such as camping trips, sports leagues and a robotics club. In addition, he remains engaged with his community through his work with the United Way of Miami-Dade County and his involvement with several local organizations.
