Carol Saviak is an External Affairs Manager for Florida Power & Light Company serving the North Florida region, including Baker County. Carol is responsible for external and government relations, and also coordinates external outreach for major construction projects, including solar centers and reliability projects. She has more than twenty-five years of experience working as a professional advocate in the public policy arena, representing public, private and nonprofit sector organizations. She is a Florida native and a graduate of the University of Florida.
Carol values community service and volunteers on the boards of business and community organizations within the region. She currently serves as chair of the First Coast Technical College Education Foundation, as a member of the Nassau County Economic Development Board and as a member of Rotary International. She also serves as an appointed member of Florida’s Federal Judicial Nominating Committee for the Middle District of Florida.
Brandon Eckard is a graduate of the University of West Florida and began working at the company in 2008 as an electrical engineer in the Pensacola area. In 2019, he joined the solar development team to help bring zero-emissions solar energy to Florida’s panhandle.
Throughout his career, Brandon has volunteered with multiple organizations in the local community, including serving on the board of the Last Mile, a running event that benefits the Northwest Florida YMCA and Bike Pensacola. He is also an active member of Momentum Church.
Brandon is married to Dee, and the couple fully renovated a historic home in Pensacola to bring it back to life. He and Dee enjoy riding bikes whenever possible, and Brandon also stays active by fishing, running, climbing, and surfing.
