STEM Grants & Scholarships

NextEra Energy Classroom Makeover Grant Program

As part of our commitment to support innovation and technology in schools, the NextEra Energy Foundation will award classroom makeover grants for $50,000 each up to five schools in Florida.

This grant program is intended to provide transformational learning for economically disadvantaged students in K-12 Title 1 public, charter or private schools or for schools serving a minimum of 40% economically disadvantaged students. Funds are available to address technology or resources that will advance STEM curricula, exposure, and careers to diverse students in a classroom setting.

Grants are also available to schools in areas served by our sister company, NextEra Energy Resources. As with all foundation grants, no customer dollars are involved.

The 2024-2025 FPL STEM Classroom Makeover Grant applications are now open! Apply here by Dec. 13, 2024.
