Why am I part of the multi-account experience?

Any customer with more than one account on their profile qualifies for the multi-account experience.

Where can I access FPL Pay Online to pay multiple accounts?

You can access FPL Pay Online from your Account Dashboard.

What are the benefits of grouping accounts?

Some of the many benefits you can enjoy by grouping your accounts, include: 

  • View all your accounts at a glance. You can see the deposit and balance information of the group in one place.
  • Sort groups by company, location, or type of business.
  • Name your group so you can easily recognize it.       

After grouping, how do I view the individual accounts listed on my Account Dashboard?

From the All Accounts page, you will be able to view all of your accounts.

How can I enable/disable account grouping?

You can access the account grouping feature under 'Preferences' on the My Profile page.

Can I remove closed accounts from my profile?

If you have closed accounts that are no longer in use, you have the ability to remove them. This can be done from the Multi Dashboard or View All Accounts page by selecting the checkbox next to them and clicking the 'Remove Accounts' button on the footer.

How do I update my profile?

You can update your profile from the My Profile page in your Account Dashboard.

How do I add multiple accounts to my FPL profile?

Once you’ve registered an account, simply login and use the Add Account feature.  Click on the ‘Add Multiple Accounts’ link where you can add up to 10 accounts at a time.

a.     You'll need to enter the ten-digit account numbers, and the last four digits of the Tax ID or Social Security number.

b.      If all are the same, just click on the 'Use same' checkbox

During this process, you will see an option to add or change an email address.  If eligible, you can also enroll in eBill at this time.

What is account linking?

For customers that have multiple associated accounts, the link account feature makes it easy to bring them altogether in your profile.

After login, if there are other accounts related to the accounts currently in your profile, you will be prompted with a message that there are accounts eligible for linking.  This message appears on the Account Dashboard in the messaging center.

How does FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts work with consolidated billing?

Once you receive your consolidated billing email, you are able to click on the given link and pay your entire balance all at once with FPL Multi Pay.

What is FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts?

FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts is a smart and convenient way to pay many accounts in one transaction.

What are the benefits of using FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts?

Some of the many benefits you can enjoy when using FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts, include:

  • Store your bank information once, and you won't have to re-enter it again for each transaction.
  • Pay multiple accounts at once much faster than with paying by mail. Unlike paying by mail, which takes 3 to 5 business days to process, FPL Pay Online takes only up to 24 hours to process your payment for multiple accounts.
  • Use multiple bank accounts in one transaction.
  • Pay up to 100 accounts in one transaction.

How can I start using FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts?

The first time using FPL Pay Online to pay multiple accounts, if it is not already stored, you will need to add the bank information for the FPL accounts you want to pay.

Why does FPL need my Social Security number or Tax Identification Number to pay multiple accounts?

We require some form of unique identification to tie someone to his or her FPL account. When you pay all of the accounts in your consolidated eBill, you will be prompted to enter the last four digits of your Social Security number or Tax ID. This payment process protects your accounts from fraud and unauthorized access.

How do I add, modify, or remove a bank account in FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts?

In your Account Dashboard, you can select Manage Pay Online to add, modify, or remove your bank account(s).

Why do I have to re-enter my previously saved bank account information?

Since FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts is a separate payment method from FPL Pay Online, the information entered into either one of these payment methods will be securely saved in a different area of your FPL profile. This means that the bank information stored to make one-time payments with FPL Pay Online will not show up in FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts and vice versa.

How does FPL Pay Online work for multiple accounts?

Once you have stored your bank account information in FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts,  just follow these simple steps to make payment(s):

  1. Select all of your FPL accounts you would like to pay
  2. Review your payment(s)
  3. Confirm your payment(s)

You will automatically be sent a payment confirmation email to the listed email address.

How long does the payment take to process?

When you make a payment for a small number of accounts, it will be processed immediately. And, if you make a payment for a large number of accounts, it will take up to 24 hours to process. 

How many accounts can I pay in one transaction, and is there a payment amount limit?

You can pay up to 100 accounts with just one click. But, those accounts can’t total more than $9,999,999.99 per transaction. 

Can I schedule a future payment?

When you use FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts, you are not able to schedule future payments. However, you may schedule future one-time payments by using FPL Pay Online on each individual account.

Can I cancel a payment?

Once your payment has been submitted, you will not be able to modify or cancel it.

Why can't I make a partial payment?

FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts does not accept partial payments at this time. However, you can make a partial payment by using any of our other payment methods.

Which accounts do not qualify to be paid with FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts?

If any of your accounts have one of the following features, it won't be eligible for FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts:                           

  • Cash-only status
  • Enrollment in another program or service (e.g. Summary Bill, ASSIST)
  • Active collection status

Are there other multiple account payment options?

FPL Pay Online for multiple accounts and paying by mail are the only payment options to pay multiple accounts at once, but there are other ways to pay.

Updating Contact Information

How do I update the contact information on multiple accounts?

You can update up to 100 accounts in a few simple steps using the “Update Contact Info” feature, on the View All Accounts page, which is accessible on the left navigation pane of the Account Dashboard.

What type of information can I update?

You can update contact information such as email, phone number and mailing address easily within the Multi-Account experience.

Multiple Account Service Orders

How do I start service on multiple accounts?

You can start service for multiple accounts from the Moving page.  After selecting your customer type, let us know you will be opening multiple accounts by selecting the "more than one account" option.

How many accounts can I open at a time?

You can start service on up to 20 accounts in just a few steps.  If you have more than 20 accounts to start, you can use the bulk upload feature to complete the template and submit your request.

Am I able to close multiple accounts?

To close multiple accounts, you can send us an email with your request.  Please click here to find steps and more information.

Consolidated Billing FAQs

What is consolidated billing?

If you're already enrolled in our FPL eBill® program, consolidated billing is a convenient option to receive only one email for all of your FPL eBills. Your consolidated eBill will contain a summary of all balances due, along with a breakdown by account.

Which accounts are eligible to consolidate?

On any given month, if your accounts meet the following criteria, they will be combined into one consolidated eBill:

  • All accounts are enrolled in our FPL eBill program.
  • All accounts are registered under the same User ID.
  • The email address where bills are sent is the same as the User ID.
  • At least 5 accounts bill on the same date. None of the accounts have a cash only status.

How often will I receive a consolidated billing?

For each day your accounts are billed, we will send you one consolidated billing email with a link to view details on the web. We bill across 21 days each month and you will receive an email for each day you have accounts that come up for billing.

Will everything on my account still remain the same?

Yes, each account remains unchanged and the amounts that are due remain on the individual accounts. The bill only combines the amounts into one statement for your convenience.

Will I be able to differentiate between each account (i.e. energy usage, bill amount, etc.)?

Yes, we will provide a link for you to view details on each account. The amount due will display separately with these details until the balance is paid.

How can I enroll in consolidated billing?

No enrollment is necessary. If you meet the criteria, we'll automatically consolidate your bills for your convenience. Prefer individual emails? No problem. You can update your delivery preferences on FPL.com at any time.

Can I sign-up for consolidated billing if my accounts are on different billing cycles?

We will only consolidate accounts that are billed on the same day to ensure that you have enough time to pay your bill and that your bill is delivered in a timely manner.

How can I discontinue receiving a consolidated billing?

If you prefer to receive individual emails, you can update your delivery preferences on FPL.com at any time.
