FPL has launched new security features to provide you with easier ways to manage who can access your account on FPL.com. When someone has access to your account, it means they can view your bill, make a payment or change your account information.
These features are designed to benefit you. Here’s how:
More Control
You can manage who is able to access your account(s) at FPL.com.
To protect you, we’ve created a default setting so that you have to approve each time someone requests access to add your account to their FPL.com profile. You will receive these requests via email; if you don’t have an email on your account and you’ve opted in, you may receive these requests through text message (SMS).
If you don’t want this, you can choose to just receive a notification anytime someone adds your account.
Greater Awareness
You can receive notifications each time someone adds your account to their FPL.com profile to manage it, or each time anyone accesses your account on FPL.com. If you don’t want these, you can turn them off.
Here are some examples of how these features work:
Account Access Settings
You can select if you want to approve each time someone requests access to add your account to another FPL.com profile.
Account Security Notifications
You can also set up alerts anytime the account is accessed. Click on "Edit Account Security Notification" to visit your Profile & Preference settings.
From there, go to Communication Preferences and scroll to your Communication Options.
Click Edit and select which email you want to receive notifications.
Manage Access Requests
We’ll email or text you when users request access to your account(s). You can also go to this page to review requests and approve or reject them.
Who Has Access
You can view which users currently have access to your account(s) on FPL.com. Need to make a change? Simply click to remove the user.
Take action and review your security preferences today. Visit Profile & Preferences and scroll to the bottom to access your Manage Account Security page.
