What are power surges?

The SurgeShield program attaches a state-of-the-art surge protector directly at your electric meter to help protect your appliances from power surges through your electric meter. The SurgeShield program also comes with a $5,000 limited manufacturer’s warranty per covered appliance, per occurrence, for damages caused by a failure of the surge protector to properly perform.

What does the SurgeShield program provide?

The program helps to protect home appliances from power surges that could travel through the electric meter. Customers who enroll also receive a $5,000 limited manufacturer’s warranty per covered appliance, per occurrence, for damages caused by a failure of the surge protector to properly perform.
