  • The FPL SolarTogether SunAssist program, a component of FPL SolarTogether, was created to provide low income customers an opportunity to participate and share in the benefits of Florida-generated solar energy.
  • For the purposes of this program, low income customers include customers who participate in certain state, federal, or local assistance programs, such as the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP), or the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), and are preapproved to participate in the program.
  • Customers who participate in the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP), or the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).
  • The program is available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to subscription availability.
  • If FPL SolarTogether is fully subscribed, you will be able to join a waitlist and will be notified when more subscriptions become available.
  • Customers who are on the waitlist will be notified based on the order you joined the waitlist and will have 14 days to enroll. You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time.
  • Subscription availability can occur when an:
    • Capacity becomes available as new solar energy centers become operational
    • Existing participant decreases their subscription; or
    • Existing participant unsubscribes from the FPL SolarTogether program

Disclaimer: For the purposes of this program, low-income customers include customers who participate in certain state, federal, or local assistance programs, such as the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP) and are preapproved to participate in the program. FPL SolarTogether SunAssist is a Florida Public Service Commission approved limited subscription offering. Enrollees are subject to the program terms and conditions. Participating customers may elect a subscription size that represents up to 100% of their previous 12-month electricity usage as determined by FPL. As a participant of the program, you will be charged a monthly subscription fee and will receive monthly subscription credits. The subscription fee and credit will depend on the total subscription selected. The fee is $5.57 and the credit is $6.27 for each kW you’re subscribed to. The power generated by the FPL SolarTogether solar energy centers will be delivered directly to the energy grid, where it is combined with power generated from other conventional energy sources in FPL’s system.
